We love fall season in Europe, weather is great, the color of the trees are changing (which we love seeing) and not a lot of tourist. Coined as the Venice of the North, we took a train down from Brussels for a day trip. Bruges or Brugge in Dutch is a picturesque cobbled lanes and dreamy canals link exceptionally photogenic market squares lined with soaring towers, historic churches and old whitewashed almshouses. Canals and ornate houses in Brugge - such a feast of the eyes.

St. Basil Chapel is one the best preserved Romanesque style chapel.
We went back to Brussels charmed and captivated what Bruges has to offer and we definitely recommend anyone to visit Bruge for a day or two.
