Do you know Tiny Atlas Quarterly? It is a new lifestyle travel magazine and we are very happy that our photo of the Nile in Aswan, Egypt was featured this morning. Of course, we are thrilled and excited to share it! They show awesome photography of our beautiful, big world that we have yet to conquer. Do you want to be inspired to travel more? Please look at their Instagram account.

This was the photo that made the cut. This was our September 2010 trip to Egypt wherein we visited Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel and Luxor. This brought memories of Tanj's birthday trip.

THE STONES SPOKE TO US! (East Bank - Luxor, Egypt)

We are travellers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share.
This is a precious moment.
It is a little parenthesis in eternity.
- Paulo Coehlo | The Alcehmist

From temples, hieroglyphics, stone structures, gods and goddesses, Luxor amazed us. Luxor has often been called the worlds greatest open air museum, as indeed it is and much more. It is definitely a must-see in Egypt. We hope you enjoy Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple as much as we did through our pictures.

THE LAND OF SUNSET (West Bank - Luxor, Egypt)

You can't put life on hold, it doesn't wait for you.
Sunrise from Lower Egypt (Cairo) to sunset here in modern day Luxor or Thebes during ancient times. Sunflower as their symbol, Luxor on the West Bank is surrounded by mortuary temples, from Valley of the Kings, Queens and Nobles. It's a wonderful experience to see the tombs of Pharaohs, inside the walls are written stories of the kings through hieroglyphics all throughout his lifetime (pictures are not allowed inside the tombs and Valley of the Kings). Queen Hatshepsut is one of the famous rulers of Egypt, since she is the foremost of all the noble ladies. She ruled like a king and carrying the symbol falcon. This temple is built just for her, sending expeditions to get different types of materials in Africa.

We have surely traveled the main cities here in Egypt for a span of 10 days and like all journeys, it has an end. This was our last stop. Make sure to add Egypt on your plethora of bucket let. It's just simply amazing. I am marvelled by it's antiquity and history. For me, Egyptian civilization was not just a development in the course of history. It was a legacy.
