SPUD AND OREO'S FIRST USA TRIP (Pennsylvania, USA)

Many will seize the day, why not you?

For our next vacation, we decided to just rest, enjoy good food and play with our dogs so we decided to fly them to the US for the first time. Pet paperwork requirement is easy going to the US and back - so it was a very easy decision. We decided to bring them since we are going to be gone for a month. We wanted them to have a very more open environment where they can enjoy the smell of grass and run free. As you know, Doha is a Muslim country and are not open with dogs. At least here, they get to enjoy the great outdoors! Oreo and Spud definitely loves being here in America. It's so sad that they have to leave after a month!

My dogs taught me simple things - to appreciate a walk in the park, friendship, selflessness, living each day with exuberance and joy, seizing the moment and above everything else, unwavering loyalty.

We got our two loving dogs in 2009 – we rescued Spud (Lhasa Apso) in Qatar and Oreo (Miniature Schnauzer) was bought from a breeder in the Philippines. Since then, we all lived in the Middle East (Qatar), USA (Pennsylvania and North Carolina), Africa (Djibouti) and in Asia (South Korea). Our jet setting little dogs go wherever we are relocated.

Spud (at the top) and Oreo (down below). Spud loves to scooch and sleep all day while Oreo loves to play catch and has a bff cat named Izzy, back in the US. He loves to play with kids and loves to sleep under the blanket.

After a few years, we added another dog in the family and we named Ritter Sport (Miniature Schanuzer, named after the German chocolate bar). He was adopted from South Korea the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He loves playing with Oreo and most of all he loves to eat!

From sand, sun, snow and sea... both the dogs love it anywhere we go. It is amazing how this four legged creatures could bring so much love and joy in our family. It is worth our efforts to bring them with us, after all they are family!

Another aeroplane,
Another sunny place.
I'm lucky I know,
But I wanna go home

This was our first visit back to Brock's home town. We flew back in the States because we had a post wedding party for his family and friends who did not make it on our wedding in the Philippines.
A sneak peak of the City of Brother Love - Philadelphia. My visit to Philly is not complete without checking off Liberty Bell and Independence Hall on my list of places to see.

Of course, the reason why we came home: our post wedding party. I met a lot of his friends, family and my cousin - whom I haven't seen in a long time, flew in PA to see me. My high school friend went to visit as well. It was exciting to meet my nephew and niece for the very first time - Paige and Jack too. Love them to pieces!
