Krakow, you probably have heard it so many times. Some say, its overrated but some say its beautiful but really how's Krakow? We think Krakow is such a humble city, as compared to other well-known cities like Paris. We are burnt by the hype of Paris probably because we had high expectations but Krakow has a different vibe, it is a city that still values tradition.
For two days in a row, we did day trips to the salt mine and Auschwitz and only got to explore Krakow on late afternoons. Krakow has been a very memorable trip because of Auschwitz. Krakow is a charming city and best explored on foot. We stayed at a hotel near the Old Town and was walking distance from the main sights. We had fun walking around in one of the biggest square in Europe. We did not want to go too far since we are tired from already doing a tour in the morning. As we investigate deeper into the Old Town, in every corner, there are cobbled streets and architecture dating back from the 14th century.
We noticed that it was way cheaper than other European cities especially for eating out. As a couple, we rarely explore bars or the night life in any city, instead, we get to know a place better by exploring their food scene. We noticed partying people but we just ignored them and it certainly didn't ruin Krakow's impression to us.
Stay tuned for our next post about Krakow. The next day was spent just exploring the city of Krakow and celebrated Tanj's 30th birthday.
