COLORS OF A CROATIAN DREAMY SUMMER: PART 1 (Dubrovnik, Croatia)

What words would you use which would give another the experience of sunshine?
- Lois Lowry

Oh, at last, Dubrovnik... Croatia has long been part of our bucket list to visit and it was truly a dream come true to be here - from marvelling the Old Town and basking the Adriatic sun. How good life can be? I imagined this would be it.

Dubrovnik is a true gem in the Adriatic Coast, the Old Town or Stradun is timeless. The beauty of the marble streets and Baroque style buildings will captivate you. The red-roofed buildings is a great contrast with the shimmering sea. We visited almost the whole coast of Croatia on this trip, Dubrovnik is a great start on our journey along the 1,778 kilometer coast. The Adriatic Coast is by far one of the best scenic and memorable drives we've done so far.

This city was founded during the 1300's and this was one of Venice's maritime rivals during medieval times. During the Yugoslav war, some of the buildings are damaged but you won't see any remnants of it since everything is fully restored. Dubrovnik is quite an expensive city and it is getting more and more tourists every year. The popular TV series Game of Thrones was filmed here, at least part of King's Landing scenes.

All the must-see sights are inside the Old Town. Every visit in Dubrovnik is not complete without going to the walls and we recommend you to go, it will show you the nicest view of the city away from cruise ship tourists. If we were to visit Dubrovnik again, we would love to visit it during winter time to appreciate the Old Town better since there's not going to be hoards of tourist roaming around in such a small Old Town.

I will not explain more about Dubrovnik, let the scenery and pictures WOW you, like we did.

To that time we drove to the end of the island. The sky was perfect and the company was better. I looked around at the soaking wet person in my life - I felt like God winked at me.
