"The sea is emotion incarnate. It loves, hates, weeps.
It defies all attempts to capture it with words and reject all shackles.
No matter what you say about it, there is always that which you can't."
- C. Paolini

This is the second day of our Croatian dreamy summer experience. Little did we know that the best is yet to come. Dubrovnik has been great so far but seeing the bird's eye view of the city just takes your breath away. We definitely recommend you to ride the cable car to see the best views yet - gape the old city, stunning sea and the gorgeous mountains. Embrace the view while it last.
We continued to visit the other parts of the Old Town we haven't seen and did a quick visit to Lokrum Island by boat. The boat is accessible from the Old Port and it takes you there, usually with a 20-30 minute interval during summer time. Lokrum Island has a lot of nooks and crannies for sun and sea lovers. It's a national park with a rocky beach and peacocks roaming around like they rule the island. It's a good day trip from Dubrovnik if you have extra days to spare, to avoid and escape the crowds.
At night, we wanted to see the Old Town lit up and its happenings. Again, this place did not disappoint with its luminous marble street. The polished stones reflect the ambient light perfectly which made taking night pictures easy. After taking a ton of pictures we ended our evening like the typical tourist, sitting at a cafe - watching people and sampling Dalmatian desserts and wine.
The old city and its magnificent ornament buildings is a sight to see, coupled with a spectacular coast, is enough to make Dubrovnik a top destination that everybody talks about. Now we know exactly why. This is the type of place that you won't get tired watching sunrise and sunset again and again. Dubrovnik, you have captured our hearts and we will try to visit you again sometime soon.

We can't say enough how much we loved the pool, the view and overall Mediterranean feel of the hotel we stayed at, made our experience much more pleasurable than it already is.
