A man who don't know history, he don't know anything. - Edward Johnston
Moving to a foreign country has been nothing but incredible and continues to be a great experience. When nothing is familiar, you are constantly asking questions, observing and at the same time discovering. Even though we are already "experts" in expat living, we always go back to basics of understanding and learning this new country, our new home. A roller coaster ride, as I should describe it but like a kid longing for a thrill, we found ourselves doing it over and over again. It's the adrenaline of not knowing that keeps us going and honestly - we love it!
Another wonderful and glorious day for a new adventure, our restless feet brought us to Korean Folk Village. The Folk Village is home to Korean heritage and culture. There are numerous replicas of traditional houses from different periods and social classes.

Hanbok is the traditional clothing in Korea.
Of course, Spud and Oreo get to explore Korea too!
By the way, Oreo, my Mini Schnauzer, a 23 pound dog was considered a "large" dog here in Korea and was almost not allowed inside the premises. It's funny how different culture perceive different things.
I would recommend tourists to go here in Korean Folk Village. It is an open-air museum that offers a lot of activities that people from different ages can enjoy. They even have live performances of traditional dances and marriage ceremonies. If you are interested in seeing history before your eyes, this is a great experience.
