STORIES WE TELL...

4/16/2015

Here's the truth about telling stories with your life.
It's going to sound like a great idea,
and you are going to get excited about it.
Then when it comes time to do the work,
your not going to want to do it.
It's like that with life, people want to have lived great stories...
but few people like the work that it takes to make it happen.

Sometimes the story we're telling the world isn't half as endearing as the one that lives inside us (Donald Miller). We have officially seen winter, spring, summer and fall while living in South Korea. This chapter in our lives is the reason why we finally want to document our somewhat nomadic life.

We want to show the world that adventure has always been part of our story. Remembering our experiences is not enough. Writing and photographing are the most tangible way of preserving our memories. Here's what stories are really for... collecting memories in small handfuls, like grains of sand. When your memories washes away, the written stories and pictures will last forever. So here's to our adventures, that finally has been written and shared. Thankful and blessed for this life, that the Author, Himself, has meticulously and lovingly wrote.

Thank you for letting us write our story and finally be heard. Thank you to all the people who follow our journey through our blog and social media. Deep thanks, for those who took their time to message, comment and liked our journey - you are with us every step of the way. For all the people we have gained as friends because of this, you inspired our traveling journey even more.

Here's to our FIRST BLOG ANNIVERSARY! For all the unexpected hardwork and the new things learned (from creating a website from scratch to the blogging jargons that was all Greek to me). Lastly, for the adventures that begged to be told, for the raw, heartfelt and honest story of living in a foreign country and travels from all corners of the globe. All of it, the good, bad, ugly, unexpected, and sometimes crazy.

that's amazing that you get to live in South Korea! I love South Korea! In fact, I'm going there again this summer (: I didn't have a chance to see all seasons like you but I did had a chance to see summer seasons. I bet it's beautiful there in any season! Also, congratulation on your anniversary!

Congrats! And keep up the hard work. Just remember to enjoy the travel and the experiences as much as you can. That makes all the work worthwhile.

Thanks Sue! I'm quite hating the fact of documenting more and more... we really have to enjoy the traveling part.

Every now and then, I have a passing fancy to live someplace where there are no distinct seasons (um, maybe Hawaii!) and just enjoy warm weather all the time. But your post made me reflect on just how beautiful the changes seasons are in nature and our lives. Happy travels!
