The adventure is the always the journey itself.

Two sides of Siem Reap (apart from the magnificent temples). From the floating villages to the busy streets of downtown Siem Reap. If you are adventurous enough to eat street food, Pub Street is the place for you from street snack, grilled seafood on the side of the road and etc. For the faint-hearted, Pub Street has rows of restaurant that offers Khmer cuisine, as well as Western dishes. This is also where pubs and bars are located, if you are looking for night life.

Brock and I are very adventurous with food but we refuse to eat little snakes and insects.

In the morning, we decided to see the Floating Village at Tonle Sap Lake. We took a boat ride around Tonle Sap Lake, the largest lake in Southeast Asia.

Great pics. I especially like the one with house over the water.

Love the photos! But those bugs on a stick...are they still alive or are they cooked first? :)

That is an amazing dichotomy. Sometimes it hard to believe the differences a few miles could make in many countries.

Wow, this hasn't changed that much since I visited over 10 years ago, but I'm sure the city is quite crazy now with masses of tourists

Pub street looks awesome! If I go, I may even try the little snakes and critters! Tang, your outfit on the floating village trip is so cute!

Just brought back a whirlwind of memories of my time in Siem Reap last February! From Pub Street to the floating markets! I loved the food :) :) Excluding the insects, though!
